Design Confidence was appointed to provide expert engineering and advisory services, focusing on the seamless integration of fire and life safety systems. The team conducted comprehensive assessments of evacuation strategies, fire detection and suppression systems, and smoke control measures to ensure optimal visitor safety without compromising the design intent.

In addition to life safety, Design Confidence played a key role in delivering universal accessibility across the pavilion. The team carried out rigorous reviews to ensure barrier-free access for people with disabilities, integrating inclusive design principles into wayfinding, circulation paths, entrances, and viewing zones.

Crowd dynamics engineering also formed a core part of the consultancy’s contribution. Through advanced modelling and pedestrian flow analysis, the team helped optimise the spatial configuration and circulation strategies to handle high visitor volumes safely and efficiently throughout the event’s duration.
