Dubai Expo CoEx expanded Expo 2020’s exhibition space to 180,000 sqm, hosting diverse functions from multipurpose halls to support services. Design Confidence prepared the Fire & Life Safety strategy, ensuring compliance with UAE and international codes for safety and resilience.

The legacy CoEx Campus includes 180,000 sqmof leasable exhibition hall space, expanded fromthe 100,000 sqm of exhibition space originallyconstructed for Expo 2020. During the event, theCoEx Campus was utilized for a wide variety offunctions, including staff services, a multipurposehall, an animal show venue, and other supportingfacilities.

Design Confidence was engaged to prepare theMasterplan Fire & Life Safety (FLS) strategy,ensuring the development complied with bothUAE and international codes. The design followedthe UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice(2011), NFPA 101 (2012), and NFPA 5000 (2015).
