ICD Brookfield Place is a landmark mixed-use development located in the heart of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This world-class development consists of two stunning towers that integrate office spaces, retail outlets, and luxury residences, all set within an iconic architectural design. The towers feature cutting-edge infrastructure and are designed to provide modern, sophisticated spaces for businesses, investors, and residents alike.

The project also includes a 1.2-million-square-foot commercial tower, along with a 180,000-square-foot retail podium, contributing to its status as one of Dubai’s prime real estate assets. Its architecture and urban design make it a key feature of the DIFC skyline, offering an impressive blend of aesthetics and functionality, with a focus on sustainability and smart building technologies.

Design Confidence played a critical role in ensuring that ICD Brookfield Place met the highest standards for safety and accessibility. Their expertise was integral in the development of the fire and life safety systems, helping to mitigate potential risks and ensuring compliance with local and international codes. It conducted a comprehensive peer review of the fire and life safety systems for both towers, assessing the systems for operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Design Confidence ensured that state-of-the-art fire detection, suppression, and evacuation systems were in place, designed to protect tenants, visitors, and employees in the event of an emergency. It collaborated with the project team to ensure the highest level of fire protection while optimizing system integration for enhanced performance.

Design Confidence also contributed significantly to improving the building’s accessibility, ensuring that all spaces, both public and private, were fully accessible to individuals with disabilities. This involved reviewing and advising on the design of pathways, elevators, ramps, and entrances to ensure they meet or exceed local accessibility standards. The team worked to ensure that the building design catered to diverse mobility needs, creating an environment that is both inclusive and user-friendly for all visitors.

Its contributions also emphasised the integration of sustainable safety measures, ensuring that the building was not only safe and accessible but also energy-efficient and environmentally responsible.
