Volta Tower

Volta Tower is an ambitious mixed-use high-rise by Damac Properties, located in the heart of Dubai. Designed to offer a seamless blend of residential, commercial, and retail spaces, the tower reflects the city’s vision for modern urban living. With its bold architectural form and multifunctional use, the project demanded a robust and forward-thinking approach to safety and compliance.

Design Confidence was entrusted with delivering comprehensive fire and life safety consultancy, ensuring that all safety systems were integrated from the earliest stages of design. Their scope of work included detailed fire risk assessments, performance-based design strategies, and the development of evacuation and compartmentation plans tailored to the building’s unique configuration.

The team provided expert input on the selection and placement of fire detection and suppression systems—including alarms, sprinklers, smoke ventilation, and emergency lighting—ensuring alignment with UAE Civil Defence regulations and international best practices.

By collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders, Design Confidence ensured that fire safety features were not only fully compliant, but also harmonised with the project’s aesthetic and functional objectives.
