Dania is a distinguished accessibility professional with over eight years’ experience spanning the Caribbean, Canada, and the Middle East. As Principal Accessibility & Inclusivity consultant at Design Confidence, she is keen on becoming a leading voice in universal design, with a passion to create inclusive built environments across sectors such as education, tourism, retail, human resources, and cultural sites.
Daniel Habchi
Lead Accessibility Consultant
Dania's career highlights include her tenure with the government of Abu Dhabi, where she collaborated closely with senior decision-makers to advance community development initiatives for persons with disabilities in the Emirate. Her expertise extends to government relations, project management, and training, establishing her as a resourceful and effective leader in accessibility and inclusivity.
In recognition of her commitment to excellence, Dania recently achieved the prestigious IAAP Certified Professional in Accessible Built Environments (CPABE) Level Two certification. This accomplishment places her among only 31 certified accessibility professionals worldwide and underscores her dedication to enhancing accessibility in every project she undertakes.
Renowned for her organisational skills and innovative approach, Dania consistently delivers impactful results, driving inclusivity and accessibility in all aspects of her work. With a strong background in universal design, she continues to champion accessible, inclusive environments that inspire and empower diverse communities globally.
Daniel Habchi is the Lead Accessibility Consultant at Design Confidence’s Dubai office, where he has honed his expertise in accessibility and inclusive design principles. With a background in architecture, Daniel’s journey began during his academic years, focusing on residential construction and renovation projects as a project architect. This foundation has evolved into a specialised role in accessibility consulting, where he collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accessibility is embedded into the planning and execution of construction projects across the GCC region.
Daniel’s diverse portfolio reflects his commitment to creating inclusive spaces. He has contributed to high-profile projects such as design reviews for The Mukaab with AtkinsRealis and the Dammam Entertainment Complex with AECOM. His expertise has supported initiatives like developing the Accessibility Rating System of Abu Dhabi for the Department of Municipalities and Transport, improving police station layouts for Dubai Police, and executing tactile map designs for Euro Mechanical. Daniel has also provided accessibility recommendations for Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, overseen execution planning for retrofitting public transport stations with the RTA, and developed accessible evacuation plans for Mohammed Bin Rashid University.
